Just some stuff

- I finished reading Wally Lamb's The Hour I First Believed yesterday morning on the train.  Fantastic book.  I highly recommend it.  It was so good, I didn't want it to end.

- I don't watch much television but Modern Family is definitely my favorite show right now.  I haven't liked any show this much since Seinfeld.

- Emily is now known as Sharky II.  She has a shark tooth in the same spot Allie had hers almost 3 months ago.  Talk about the identicalness of identicals.  There haven't been any other loose or lost teeth either.  It will be interesting to see what happens with Anna's teeth.

- Speaking of identicals, I completely confused Allie and Emily the other night.  I thought Allie was in the bed with us and I told her I would go to her bed with her but she was getting mad at me.  I didn't give it too much thought as I was half asleep.  Although, it did seem completely out of character for her. Then another kid appeared bedside.  I thought that was Emily and I tried to convince Allie to go back to her room with me.  Yeah, so Allie was really Emily and Emily was really Allie.  Emily will stay in our bed without me.  (Probably because she's been sleeping there since she was an infant.) It cuts down on the number of kids seeking me out in the middle of the night.

- Sometimes I go sleep in Emily's bed (when she's in ours) just so I can sleep by myself.

- I picked up some supplies last weekend so I can continue to experiment with my embroidery machine.  That thing kind of scares me.  I think I'm afraid I won't be able to figure it out because it's not just a sewing machine - there's technology involved.

- Rich gave me a Kindle for my birthday.  It scares me as well.  Allie, Miss Drama Queen, cried when I unwrapped it because she wants one too and it's so unfair that I get to have one and she doesn't.  It was kind of funny.  On a positive note, at least I won't have to always carry a heavy book with me in my commuting bag.

- I have a list of sewing projects a mile long.  I need to start sewing for our Disney trip or I'm going to find myself scrambling at the end, which I definitely don't want. Step 1 is getting the embroidery machine ready to roll because I plan to use it for a lot of the girls' customs.

Hooray for taking the plunge into the Kindle world! If you've bought books from Amazon in the past, I think they have some deal where you might be able to get a digital copy for cheap or free. I don't know off the top of my head but it might be worth looking into.

I have read I Know This Much is True! I have the big, hardcover book down in the basement. I really like his books. I wish he wrote more.

Anon - thanks for the tip. I'll have to check that out.

I forgot all about Wally Lamb and how good his books are. I downloaded This Much is True and am loving it. The best thing about having a kindle is visiting the top books for free. there's a lot of trash, but a few gems shine through.

I'll have to get that Wally Lamb from the library. I loved I know This Much is True. For a book recommendation, have you read Resolve? If you like mysteries you might like it. It was my favorite book of 2013. The Fault in Our Stars was my favorite of 2012. SO. Good.
